Military Сollege of Non-commissioned Officers of Kharkiv
Air Force University was formed on 30 July 2010
according to Ukrainian Cabinet Council Decree №467
13.05.2009 and joint order of Ukrainian Ministry of
Defense and Ministry of Education and Science №476/877
21.09.2009.
College performs training of military specialists with
future Junior Specialist degree; they can serve further
as military specialists of aircraft operation and
equipment.
NCO Military College performs the training of
specialists at 3 training branches and 5 specialties:
- technical maintenance of aircraft and engines;
- operation of
aircraft armament;
- maintenance of
aircraft complexes;
- technical
operation of aircraft radio electronic equipment;
- technical
operation of radio electronic flights support ground
aids.

Cadets’ training period is
2,5 years.
7 departments realize
theoretical training of cadets.
Practical training of cadets performs in special
classrooms, in study works, on training aerodrome and
during field study in military units and aircraft repair
bases.
The pedagogical staff of college has high practical
experience of aircraft operation, wide experience of
military aviation specialists’ serve and teaching.
College cadets take part in the competitions, social and
sport life of the University actively.
The cadets living and
studying conditions are improved permanently.
Graduates of NCO Military College get Junior Specialist
degree according their training branches and the rank of
sergeant and can continue military contract service.
After studying graduates of College are assigned to
positions, connected with aircraft operation and
equipment; in comparison with other specialists they
have following privileges:
Requirements for candidates: 1) completed secondary education; 2) a desire to perform military contract service;
3) meeting the requirements of military service, namely: - contract servicemen under 30, who have no officer rank; - liable for military service under 23, who do not have commissioned
officer rank; - persons aged from 17 to 21.
Candidates from non-military personnel should apply to
the regional (town) military commissariat of residence to formalize the
personal file during the period from 1 January to 1 June of the entering
year.
Candidates from military personnel report by the chain of command during
the period from 1 February to 1 April of the entering year.
Deadline for receiving personal files of candidates for training,
applications and documents from persons who should take the entrance
exam in college is July 20, 2012. Entrance exams period lasts from 21 to 31 July 2012.
Entrance
requirements: 1. Ukrainian language and literature (pass mark – 124 min); 2.
Mathematics (physics) (pass mark – 124 min); 3. Psychological
testing; 4. Evaluation of physical training; 5. Medical examination.
According to the requirements of the
Concept of professional non-commissioned officers of Ukrainian Armed
Forces founding and development, approved by order of Ukrainian Minister
of Defense №567 18.11.2008, NCO Military College trains contract
servicemen, who have Junior Specialist degree.
The training period is 6 months. After
training non-commissioned officers are assigned to the military units or
the reserve.
