The article is devoted to the development of statistical techniques as applied to determine the vegetation indices of crops in Ukraine. The basis of this paper is the selection of a test for detecting signals of crops. The main criterion is chosen Bayesian detection criterion of a minimum average risk. The necessary criteria for the original data may be obtained from regional administrations. Satellite remote sensing systems are considered as two-position radar systems. We present the main characteristics of satellite radar remote sensing systems. Poorly constructed earlier learning curve of signal detection by Bayesian criterion of minimum average risk.
