The paper proposed a method for estimating the parameters of code blocks (block length, the length of the information part, the minimum distance), which are used in data communication systems. The method is designed to channel model with independent errors (model simmetorichnogo binary memoryless channel) and two-parameter model (haarkterizuetsya channel error rate and coefficient group errors). The criteria: the coefficient of reduction in average data rate, average relative rate, average length of error-free interval (in bits).
