Probability assessment for determining the parameters of telecommunications traffic

The simulation of telecommunication traffic was held. Likelihood function for the network traffic Hurst parameter estimation is presented. The comparison of two versions of the maximum likelihood method is discussed and traffic models are offered for which these methods are applicable.
