Models of blocking probability in optical networks with wavelenght division multiplexing

The models of the optimal set of wave channels determining in an optical network proposed in this paper. Proposed models taking into account the size of the network and the current status of its utilization, while providing the necessary requirements for efficiency, and improve the efficiency of optical transport systems with wavelength-division, by maximizing signal oise ratio for a single wave channel, providing the specified probability level locking. Simulations confirmed that the use of wavelength converters provides an increase in the coefficient of channel use, with same blocking probability. In particular, for 40 wavelengths utilization rate from 70% to 80%, depending on the network size.
