Modernization and development of new systems of automation need to develop applications diagnostics of technical state. This helps to respond to equipment failure that may occur and prevent them. Modern systems of automation devices that are in service with the Air Forces of Ukraine do not possess a high level of diagnostic applications. To resolve the problems of finding and identifying failures and issuing recommendations on the failure detection is proposed expert system technical diagnostics. Its basis is a complex control and calculation method technical evaluation of systems of automation. We describe the stages of the process of diagnosing.
