A state of the problem “metal – hydrogen” was analyzed in a context of progress and application of methods and means for hydrogen concentration determination and, on this base, for hydrogen degradation appraisement as the factor of emergency man-made situations danger. The system approach for a volumetric hydrogen concentration determination in ferromagnetics was developed on a base of the system “metal – hydrogen” and the system “object – information technology (IT)” interaction with the magnetic aftereffect (MA) method in conditions of sample magnetizing, hydrogen giving (loading) and on transformation level: magnetic permeability – auto-vibrations frequency – MA parameter – hydrogen concentration (Sieverts' law).
