The criteria of digital string (DG) selection for manipulating application for formation of complex broadband signals are presented. The results of research dealing with assembly, correlation, technological features of different DG classes are discussed and estimates of the correspondence of DG classes under investigation to known criteria are given. The possibility to use different DG classes in applications of systems with distributed spectrum is considered.
