In article considered the question about the change of engine KamAZ-740 resources by the use of cylinders made of special alloyed cast-iron after using thermomechanical strengthening have been presented in the engine. The calculation results allow forecasting the increase of this exponent on 15 – 20 % more by value, which State standards need and by comparison with facts of the use of cylinders made of same material after using strengthen of high-frequency current, which exist on the present day.
