The comparative accuracy analysis of regular ranging reflectance profile recovery has been conducted basing on radar sea echo digital model and common analytical methods with associated smoothing algorithms of the fluctuating component of the digital model. The research results provide grounds to conclude that neither of the recovery methods can be perfectly applied in the real functioning conditions of radar ship detection and tracking aids. Thus, program recovery procedures of regular profile for all methods are required with the consequent choice of the best one.
