In the article is given the brief characteristic of supplementary rocket engines of solid fuel is given, the basic lacks of destroying heat-shielding covers are marked and the data of experimental researches of ceramic heat-shielding covers are adduced which do not require any calcinations. It is shown that the applying of the data of covers instead of the destroying ones leads to an essential decrease of a structural weight of engines.
