There are represented the experimental results of data transmission carried out with a prototype of digital hydro-acoustic communication system that realizes the method of monotonous spread of signal frequency spectrum. The system demonstrated the ability to provide a high-quality transfer of digital data in complicated multipath channels comprising large dynamics of their characteristics. In comparison to conventional systems the use of monotonous frequency spread on transmit signals provided more than twice increase of frequency efficiency coefficient and thus significant enlarge of achievable data rate.
