The task of optimisation of digital spread-spectrum communication signals characteristics is considered, aimed for development of prospective hydroacoustic communication (data transmission) systems. For signals with freuqency spread spectrum an estimation was carried out, which pointed out to significant influence of the form of frequency spread onto characteristics of receive signals in channels comprising strong and extended reverberation. By means of evolutionary computation algorithms an optimisation of the form of frequency spread was executed and the measure of signals impairments, typical for channels of these kind, was obtained.
