The results of numerical modelling and experimental investigation are represented, concerning investigation of method of time arrangement of phase-manipulated hydro-acoustic signal with continuous frequency spread during data transmission in hydro-acoustic channels with characteristics of extended complexity. The dependencies, which where obtained, enable the possibility to adjust the sweep-spread sections duration and interval of the pseudo-random pauses between them for optimisation of bit rate and likelihood of data transmission with consideration of actual characteristics of the communication channel.
