In article proposes an approach to the selection positions of remote visual observation posts (RVOP) of subdivision of antiaircraft missile troops (AAMT), armed with anti-aircraft missile systems of medium-range using algorithms and programs implemented on the basis of a geographic information system. The results of simulation, during which determined the effectiveness of AAMT protection oneself subdivisions, protected objects of group subdivisions, based on the use of RVOP positions to accommodate shooters armed with portable air defense missile systems.
