The reasons of inconsistency and incompleteness in existing practical classifications of communication networks for multiprocessor computer systems based on the notion of dimension topological structure. The problem of multivariate visualization topological structures and influencing on the practical classification of communication networks was analyzed. The specified concept of dimension in communication network entered as minimum absolute connectedness. Offered approach to the construction of self-consistent and practically meaningful (by an engineer) classification of topological structures of communication networks multiprocessor computer systems and also base variant of such classification.
