Light attenuation measurements uncertainty estimation in cylindrical scintillators

L.I. Mitcay, N.I. Molchanova, V.A. Tarasov The measurement estimation uncertainty of technical attenuation length (TAL) in lengthy plastic scintillators (PS) is set out. Error and uncertainty limits for TAL in cylindrical 100 сm length PS are determined. It is shown, that both approaches to detectors quality estimation lead to comparable results. The conclusion is made, that the same relative error and uncertainty measurement limits are expected for another sizes cylindrical PS.
