Description: The experience of accomplishing combat missions by the Air Forces shows that during the anti-terrorist operations, insufficient psychological preparedness of personnel for combat operations was noted. There was a need for theoretical and empirical generalization of experience on the impact of the psychotraumatic factors of modern combat on the performance of combat missions. Analysis of the conduct of hostilities shows that the main factor that adversely affected the personal was the death and injury of servicemen who created fear for their own lives and formed uncertainty in their own abilities. Additionally, military personal were adversely affected by stress factors such as use of air defense against our aircraft, use of mines, cruelty towards prisoners, violent of diet, sleep, rest, physical and mental stress. As a result of the study, the most typical reactions to the stress factors of the combat situations that were observed among Air Force servicemen who took part in combat operations and analyzed ways to negative psyghological impact that are used the enemy for intensification of combat stress our troops. Based on the analysis of the participation of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukrainе in military operations in the east of Ukrain, the influence of the combat situation on the mentality of servicemen is generalized and the need for improving the psychological training of personnel.
