Description: Based on the analysis of the implementation of demining and existing methods for demanding requirements for weapons and military equipment, the approach to justification is proposed: the tactical and technical requirements and technical outline of the robotic demining complex, the optimal combination of devices for special equipment for the detection and disposal of explosive objects, as well as rational characteristics of devices for remote detection and disposal of explosive devices. The content of the main stages of the methodology of the complex justification of requirements for the robotic complex of demining is described. Depending on the particular qualities of the environment and the complexity of the combat situation, the necessary conditions for the use of robotic demining complexes are: a significant reduction in the response time for threats from explosive devices, a reduction in the number of search and destruction of explosive devices, the use of multisensory and high-performance modular facilities.Taking into account the particular qualities of the interaction of the robotic demining complex with explosive devices and the environment, the decomposition and formalization of the demining stages have been made to identify the basic processes, the purpose of the operation and the subsystem of the robotic complex in which they are implemented. The dependence of performance indicators on functional indicators and key characteristics have also been determined. As a generalized indicator of the efficiency of the robotic demining complex, the indicator in the form of a mathematical expectation of the number of detected and the number of neutralized typical explosive devices in a certain section of the route is selected. The scheme of detection of explosive devices is presented, which is used during the improvement of the mathematical model of detection of explosive devices by the optoelectronic method. The proposed methodological approach will allow domestic researchers and developers to systematically solve a complex of engineering tasks of justifications of requirements and developing of various types of highly effective robotic complexes for combat and humanitarian demining.
