When multichannel radar of surface-to-air missile complex tracks maneuvering targets, track accuracy decreases and probability of track disruption rises. Track stability of modern maneuvering targets can be improved by using adaptive tracking algorithms or by trying to choose properly parameters of the fixed parameter algorithm. The method is proposed for choosing parameters of fixed parameter tracking algorithm, which provide maximum track stability and results are given with results of the problem solution for tracking by range algorithm.
