Annotation: The modern samples of armaments and military equipment of foreign countries are studied; the analysis of collective protection systems of armored vehicles is carried out. It is established that available filtration systems protect against weapons of mass destruction. But the question remains whether they protect against hazardous chemical substances. A promising avenue for solving this issue is the modernization of absorbent filters of armored vehicles using catalysts for the neutralization of HCHS, in particular, oxide systems on titanium alloys. Further work is being done on the use of oxide catalysts on titanium alloys with the further improvement of the system of collective defense of stationary structures and on armored vehicles for the effective neutralization of hazardous chemical substances.

Keywords: filter-ventilator unit, armaments and military equipment, collective protection system, hazardous chemical substances, oxide catalyst, titanium alloys
