Description: Ukraine, as a country of diplomatic and consular establishment of foreign states, has certain responsibilities related to the protection of objects of diplomatic mission. They are defined by the Vienna Convention “On Diplomatic Relations” of 1961, the Vienna Convention “On Consular Relations” of 1963. The National Guard of Ukraine (NGU), as an important component of the security and defense sector of the Ukrainian state, constantly performs a number of tasks, in particular in the overall system of law enforcement agencies of the country. One of them is the protection of diplomatic missions, consular offices of foreign states, representations of international organizations in Ukraine. The forms, methods and procedures for performing such combat and combat tasks at the present time are not fully explored and not specified, which causes certain difficulties in the planning and implementation of security activities. At the same time, reliable security of diplomats is possible only through the construction of an effective system of protection of objects of diplomatic mission, capable of timely detection of threats to their safety, to counteract such threats properly, and, if necessary, to timely evacuate the personnel and property of the object. In this article, which is being considered, based on the analysis of possible security threats to diplomatic missions (consular offices) of foreign states located on the territory of Ukraine, a typical scheme for the protection of a stationary object for the protection of diplomatic destinations (places of compact residence) during implementation has been developed. military-combat tasks in isolation from the point of permanent deployment of the military unit. The methods of constructing the security, elements of the commander's work during the organization of protection are proposed, and the procedure for calculating the required forces is given.
