Description: One of the most significant factors in improving the effectiveness of measures to reduce the visibility of troops and objects is the means of reducing the visibility on the basis of scattering and absorbing coatings, the application of which leads to a sig-nificant reduction in the range and probability of identification and identification of objects. The purpose of the article is to de-velop a mathematical apparatus for assessing the effectiveness of measures of radio-electronic protection of objects from radio-metric detection systems through the use of special coatings. An estimation of the possibilities of exploration of objects by equip-ment of radio-thermal exploration, which is installed on spacecraft, reconnaissance aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. The necessary data for the calculation of objects and conditions of exploration by radiometric detection systems are given. Provision is required for the calculation of the initial data on objects and terms of conduct of intelligence. The coefficients of extinction of radio waves in the atmosphere, clouds and rain and other precipitation s are analyzed and summarized in a systematic form. The analytical expressions for calculating the signal-to-noise ratio perceived by the operator's eye on the radio-thermal image and the efficiency of reducing the radio thermal visibility of objects during their protection with the help of scattering and absorbing coatings are obtained. A mathematical device was developed for assessing the efficiency of reducing the radio thermal imprint-ing of objects due to the use of scattering and absorbing coatings. As a result, a mathematical instrument was developed to as-sess the effectiveness of radio-electronic protection of objects from radiometric detection systems, which would allow to assess the reduction of the object's visibility from radiometric detection systems for the practical determination of the effectiveness of the application of special coatings.
