Description: The article discusses the concept of the effectiveness of one sorties and the effectiveness of sorties. It is proved that the ef-fectiveness of combat operations of an aviation group is one of the characteristics of its combat power. The main component of the combat power of aviation are those forces that directly conduct combat operations. The effectiveness of the combat opera-tions of the Air Force aviation reflects the degree of useful return of the allocated forces and means for military operations. It can be measured by the achieved result, which falls on a unit of expended combat power. When calculating the effectiveness of military operations, the influence of a significant number of factors in the processes of complex action associated with various techniques and methods of its implementation by various forces and means should be evaluated. Factors are proposed to be di-vided into two classes: factors that affect the combat power and factors that influence the outcome of hostilities. The main factors affecting the state of combat power and the effectiveness of the use of the aviation group are determined. Based on the main task of the aviation group - causing damage to enemy targets while maintaining their own combat effectiveness, the main perform-ance indicators of the aviation group are selected. In order to determine the efficiency indicators of the use of aviation sensitive to changes in the organizational structure of the aviation group, ways to improve the efficiency of the use of the aviation group in operations (combat operations) are considered. Formulated measures to improve the effectiveness of the aviation group. Effi-ciency indicators sensitive to changes in the organizational structure of governing bodies and the main and auxiliary structural elements of the aviation group were selected. Changes in those elements of the organizational structure that can affect measures to increase the effectiveness of the use of the aviation group are presented, as evidenced by the corresponding changes in the selected performance indicators.
