The Regimental (on German terminology – infantry) artillery included artillery subdivisions, armed cannons and mortars, which had small mass and sizes, high manoeuvrability and rapidity of fire. It targeted at a fight against tanks, fire weapons, manpower of opponent, and attracted for direct support of subdivisions. A regimental artillery could be used it is centralized on directions of concentration of basic efforts or for strengthening of battalions which executed the most essential tasks.
