In the work indicated a link between modes of operation of turbo generators and of the energy parameters the power system. A method of turbogenerators assessment has been proposed for establish the possibility of their further use in the blocks of power plants. Methods of assessing the technical condition turbogenerator were obtained with the tests carried out on a standstill turbogenerator and with the data that were obtained in the mode on-line. In the paper conclusions are made that on the basis of this assessment can determine the possibility (or not) extend the life of the turbogenerator after the end of its useful life; can set the type and amount of repairs. Such an assessment makes it possible to draw a conclusion about the need to replace the turbogenerator, which has worked operating life. Evaluation was conducted on technical parameters without economic aspects, as they are currently uncertain and vary depending on the manufacturer or the company that performs repairs. The evaluation was conducted taking into account the promising development of the domestic electro energy, taking into account the priorities for the use of certain capacity of turbogenerators (200, 300, 1,000 MW). We used knowledge of the development level the related industries and the rate of increase in the number of aging equipment.
