The analysis of experimental results respectively turbulent boundary layer control by using the streamlined surface microriffling has been made. The physical mechanisms of generating the near-wall vorticity are identified. The actuality of constructing the mathematical models of the investigated method of control is justified from the standpoint of reducing the process of its implementation in practice of advanced transport vehicles design, optimizing the geometrical characteristics and searching the effective measures to overcome the operational problems.
