Estimation of radial speed of meteorological objects in military shf radar systems

Procedure of estimation of a meteorological formation mean radial speed ( rV ) in military SHF radar systems in the case of using channels for meteorological reflection processing (weather channels) was considered. Statistical characteristics of radial speed estimates were determined for different algorithms of "pulse pair" estimation method. On the basis of analysis of such characteristics it was proved the algorithm which is advisable for application in weather channels of military radars. It was shown that the estimates of rV which will be obtained correspond to requirements for their using in common data base of recognition of dangerous meteorological phenomena caused by moving meteorological formations.
