The features of target detection by surveillance radar, which is placed on aircraft of early warning and control system, and main factors, which influence on detection coverage shape, are considered. The core of method is next. The ratio between power, which is reflected by target, and power, which is reflected by ground, is calculated after signal processing for each resolution cell. Then this ratio is compared with threshold. The shapes of detection coverage, which are formed by airborne surveillance radar, for target as fighter, bomber and cruse missiles are calculated with using method, which is considered.
