Automatic target classification of aerial objects according to their relative dangerousness and selection of false and deceptive targets become more important when designing automated control systems for Air Forces of Ukraine. The two-dimensional radio images of objects can be used both for automatic radar target recognition and for controlling the automatic recognition process by the operator in complicated scenarios. The method for generating two-dimensional radio images of aircraft is developed in the paper based on the Gabor time-frequency transform. Using this method, instead of standalone images of poor quality one obtains series of dynamically changed images of better quality. Two-dimensional images of Cessna-172 aircraft based on experimental radar data are analyzed using the method developed in the paper.
