Denitrification of water solutions using capacitive deionization

The article deals with the adsorption of nitrate ion electrochemical cell based material SAUT-1C-modified titanium. It is shown that the method of capacitive deionization may decrease the concentration of nitrate ions from 86.6 mg / l to 45 mg / l (MAC). Specific adsorption capacity of the electrodes in a solution of sodium nitrate is 4.8 mg per 1 g NO3 electrode material. The adsorption of nitrate ions are effective in the case of the content in the solution, except for sodium, chloride.
