The urgency of the problem of measuring the model base pressure in the determination of drag coefficient of bodies of revolution is shown. The technique of calculating the value of the coefficient of model base resistance is presented. A system for pressure measuring and information processing is described. The results of measurements of model base pressure are analyzed and calculations of base drag coefficient obtained in the study of aerodynamic characteristics of the real model in its subsonic flow. A significant contribution factor of the base drag coefficient to the overall body resistance is shown. The dependence of the base resistance coefficient on the angle of attack of the model for different Mach number values is given.
