It is shown that the organization of professional activities rescue of activities in breathing apparatus requires that necessarily take into account that the duration of the operations associated with carrying out rescue work at height, affect not only the level of preparedness, but also extreme situations associated primarily with the salvation of the living humans. Analysis of time to perform basic operations in isolating devices showed that they can be described by a β-distribution. Largest skewness timing performance of typical operations can judge the level of preparedness of the rescuers.
