This article discusses the design process of multy-canopy parachute systems. There is presented an algorithm for selection of geometric system parameters and displayed dependencies expressing their mutual influence. There are considered systems with up to nine canopies and analyzed the characteristics of their work, as well as possible failures due to the geometry of their horizontal projections. There were given recommendations on ranges of theoretical dependencies limitations. Practical examples we considered. The results of this work can be useful for specialists involved in the design and testing of parachute equipment.
