The methods of compression of optical images with losses are analysed from point of the provided visual quality. Thus taken into account circumstance that initial images can be distorted hindrances, in particular, by additive noise. The optimum is certain from point of visual quality of compression of images step of quantum, at which maximums of row of birth-certificates, used for the estimation of visual quality of decompression images take place. Comparative information is resulted for different coders, images and dispersions of hindrances.
