The possibility of a common methodological approach developing in assessment of vortex safety for aircraft in the airdrome area is briefly considered. The urgency of trial lines and vortex wakes research in the terminal area is showed. The analysis of existing research methods of trial lines and vortex wakes characteristics is carried out. The directions in the development of the vortex conditions system near the airport are showed.
