The "serviceable condition" concept of complex technical systems is considered in order to be clarified and formalized for the systems with multilevel serviceability. It is assumed that, in addition to the two border states - faulty or serviceable, the system with multilevel serviceability can be in one of the partly serviceable states. Two types of ambiguity are thus possible: stochastic one in the conduct of parameter determining the serviceability, and linguistic one determining the absence of clear borders of the system "serviceability concept".
