OPTIMIZATION OF KNOWN WEIGHTING WINDOWS FOR DFT

Is it possible to improve the characteristics of suboptimal weight window for the discrete Fourier transform (DFT)? The universal method for optimizing existing weighting functions for DFT, which consists in the selection of the value pedestal for an arbitrary window in order to reduce the level of its side lobes. It is shown that 2-Term window BlackmanHarris, Hamming window and a Hanning window are special cases of suboptimal 2 windows Chornoborodovs. Optimizing the value of the pedestal for a 4x-window Nutall (-98 dB) to reduce side-lobe level at 3..8 dB for the case of DFT filters number N=10..16.
