“Developing Remote Work Opportunities in Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions”

Main Goal:
Development, testing, and implementation of a hybrid course focused on developing skills for remote academic work and effective online communication with faculty staff in the context of the digital transformation of education.
Key Results:
• A fully-fledged hybrid course on remote academic work was created, which combined methodological guidelines and training videos.
• A structure was developed for an open digital environment that would be used to host the materials.
• Cooperation was strengthened between universities in Sweden, Germany, Poland, and Ukraine.
• The course was presented at the international conference “State-Building in Times of Crisis: Challenges and Lessons Learned” (FAU Erlangen–Nürnberg) in December 2023.
•Sustainability of results was ensured through the integration of the course into international educational networks.

Work is ongoing on the monograph:
“Transformation of Higher Education in Ukraine in the Face of Modern Challenges” (due 31/12/2025).
Conclusion:
The project demonstrated effective inter-university cooperation in developing modern digital educational resources, created the basis for long-term work on improving the digital competence of faculty, developing distance learning formats, and disseminating best practices for academic resilience in the face of abrupt (crisis) challenges.
